1 May 2010:
The DEC function screw of the G42 has been superseded by a new bearing in Dec. No manual recalibration is needed now, which presented a problem in remote use. There will be a lost motion of cca 30 arcsec, compensated in the backlash menu. The value may slightly change in different positions.
05.07.2011. New firmware for Pulsar2. In late 2010 there has been a hardware upgrade that makes more memory available. This is named hw2.2, while the preceeding is 1.1. (Web) upgrade your Pulsar2 with ver4.XX and go to the system menu to see which hardware it has (enter the Sw version menu and right click). If it is 2.2 you can upgrade to 5.XX. The difference is that it has Alignmaster (beta version). Please select a goto mode in the user parameters menu after upgrade. The manual has also been updated. The new features are flip correction, absolute reference (G53F) and Alignmaster.
29.11.2011. New firmware version for hardware 1.1 and 2.2 (fw4.XX for hw 1.1, fw5.XX for hw 2.2) Bugfixes for: communication with TheSky, internal catalogue scrolling (does not jump 2 instead of 1)
